Behind every emergency call is a team ready to run towards it.
We recently had the privilege of spending time with some of the local firefighters who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe. It was a chance to hear their stories and to learn more about the New Zealand Firefighters Welfare Society, an organisation founded on one guiding principle: firefighters helping firefighters and their families.
For more than three decades, the Society has offered practical support, financial help, and wellbeing initiatives to firefighters and their whānau through life’s hardest moments. What began as coins in a biscuit tin on a station table has grown into a nationwide, grassroots network, still run by firefighters, for firefighters.
At OXYENERGY, we are inspired by that spirit of looking after one another. We have huge respect for the courage and care New Zealand’s firefighters bring to their work every single day, and we look forward to finding ways to support them in return.
