OXYENERGY recently participated as a sponsor of a community Pink Ribbon Fundraiser event, joining more than 90 women of all ages for a meaningful morning focused on women’s health, breast cancer awareness, fundraising, and community support.
Through guest presentations, personal stories, panel discussions, games, and shared moments, the event created a warm and supportive environment where attendees could connect, exchange experiences, and learn more about the importance of health awareness and community care.
Several guest speakers contributed professional perspectives and personal experiences throughout the morning. A representative from a physiotherapy organisation discussed the role of movement and exercise in supporting overall health and recovery, while another guest shared her personal breast cancer journey and reflected on the role faith played in providing strength and resilience.
A Pink Ribbon discussion panel also brought together health professionals and members of the community to share perspectives and supportive advice around cancer diagnosis, treatment, and family care. The session encouraged open and thoughtful conversations, providing space for attendees to hear from people with a range of professional and lived experiences.
Event organiser Jo Watson also spoke about her ongoing commitment to women’s health advocacy and community fundraising. She shared:
“Part of my journey, and a source of my strength and determination is my passion for women’s health and being an advocate for one’s own health.”
This year marked Jo’s third Pink Ribbon event, continuing her efforts to support the cancer community through awareness and fundraising initiatives.
